Same old...Same old...or is it?

Often I run into friends,
And often get asked, “How’s life?”
Keeping in line with the latest trends,
We answer each other, “Same old. Same old”, be it joy or be strife!
No matter what’s new today,
Tomorrow it becomes old.
And while newer things exit and enter our lives,
We think our lives are cast into a particular mould.
Look beyond the obvious,
And find newer things in what’s old.
Walk the same vias,
Maybe you will find your gold!
Maybe this time around,
You will happen to notice
that thing you thought you haven’t found…
So before you say, “same old, same old”…ask yourself…”is it?”
