Untitled

Held my hand & walked me to school,
Told me stories to make me sleep.
Played games to quell my fear of the dark,
Hugged me close when I wanted to weep.
Made me dolls of paper and what not,
Woke up early to spend time with me.
Took me for walks to talk nineteen to a dozen,
Helped me open my mind, helped set me free…
Taught me to cook,
Taught me the love for most things dear,
Taught me the true meaning of love,
Chased away all of my fear.
A strong embrace that held me all these years,
Shielding me from all things bad.
The jokes, fights, discussions, all that love & care,
I couldn’t wish for a better dad.

Hey, thats a really good write up. Did you write it yourself or did you pick it up from somewhere?

Came across your profile when I clicked the "short stories by O Henry" in my profile. It searches for other people having those keywords in their profile.

I see you are pretty new to blogging, so welcome and hope to see some good stuff from you soon. Do check out my blog when you get time.
